The PATS New Product Awards 2026 winners were announced at the close of day one of the PATS show on September 27. The ceremony was backed by Leopard Co as headline sponsor and by PBW News along with several category sponsors.
A panel of pet retailers evaluated more than 400 new entries displayed in the exhibition’s New Product Showcase. Judges scored each entry on innovation, design, quality, packaging, value for money and sustainability across twelve categories.
The cat-bed entry from The Nutriment Company (stand E40) earned top marks. The judges noted, “This a great quality modern design with a neutral colour that would fit into any home. It’s a great price for a very nice-looking cat bed.”
A fresh-food cat offering from the same company impressed the panel for its variety. They said, “This product comes in a good variety of different flavours. Moving cat food into the fresh food sector is a good innovation.”
The Pure & Natural Doggy Bag Natural Chew Variety Pack was praised for filling a market gap. The panel commented, “The natural feeding world has waited a long time for a mixed treat bag like this – it’s a great product.”
In the dog-wear category, the Truelove Ultra-light Magnetic Top Harness (stand F58) stood out. They observed, “This harness is ideal for those owners with dexterity issues and is also just a cool-looking product.”
The Teewy Meadow Wheel for small animals, presented by Chongqing Pet Union Biological Technology (stand N54), earned praise for its visual appeal. Judges said it is “naturally produced and pleasing on the eye, and is a great boredom-buster.”
A hydration drink aimed at dogs was highlighted as increasingly relevant during hot weather. The judges said, “If we continue to have hot summers, hydration drinks such as this great product will become ever more important for dogs and their owners.”
A mud-resistant accessory designed for walks received commendation for practicality. They described it as “a great innovative product. It’s portable, practical and ideal for muddy walks and muddy paws.”
The Interpet Scape Kit Cube Aquariums earned accolades as an ideal starter kit. The judges noted, “An ideal starter kit with a good range of sizes and price points,” and added, “This product looks amazing and is fantastic value. It’s super cute and is well designed.”
The Fast Acting Reptile Calming & Emotional Wellbeing Kit was recognized for its novelty and price. The judges said, “This is a great product for wellbeing, at a good price and something we haven’t seen before.”
