Copdock Mill Wholesale, a family-owned manufacturer and distributor of pet and animal feeds and accessories, is located in Suffolk. The business was established in 1912 by Herbert George Gladwell and has remained in the Gladwell family for four generations.
Copdock Mill supplies premium feeds for birds, poultry, cage birds, and small pets like rabbits, guinea pigs, and hamsters. They also distribute well-known names like Dengie, Allen & Page, Mars, and Nestlé Purina.
The business offers an extensive range of fishing baits under its own brands, as well as products from leading names in the angling industry. With over 75,000 square feet of warehouse space and 5,500 SKUs, Copdock Mill provides an extensive product catalogue and maintains excellent availability. This extensive warehouse space allows the company to store a wide range of products, ensuring that orders can be fulfilled quickly and efficiently. The team at Copdock Mill works diligently to source items that are temporarily out of stock, demonstrating their commitment to providing excellent service to their customers.
Simon Gladwell, the Managing Director, leads the company to provide great service, good availability, and low costs. In 2024, they started a Nationwide Delivery Service, allowing UK pet businesses to buy their entire product range. This is possible thanks to a top warehouse management system that speeds up order picking and shipping. Local clients get a personal touch from a support team, which can adjust orders and, when feasible, use the same delivery drivers.
Copdock Mill’s Own Label Service enables businesses to create their own branded range across various products, including wild bird feed, seeds, and dog treats. The company’s in-house design team can create bespoke labels free of charge, with pack sizes ranging from 200g to 20kg. This service allows businesses to tailor their products to meet the specific needs of their customers, while also providing a unique and personalized branding experience.
