I’m still not over the shock of it. But the first group that I adopted from was a really wonderful rescue and I turned back to them (being a previous adopter) after so many other groups turned out to be wasting my time and they found me my newest addition, a 9-12 month old (I have no patience for the puppy stage) purebred with the funniest looking docked tail I have ever seen and a serious case of I think I’m a lap dog” syndrome.

Shelter dogs come from various places such as animals found wandering the streets by Council Animal Control Officers and general public or sometimes people have to surrender dogs because their circumstances have changed and they can no longer keep their dog.

This little puppy was one among many orphaned puppies, who had found their way to an animal shelter – not much to look forward to. But one fine day its fortunes turned round, when a large-hearted lady came looking for a puppy to adopt and decided that this was the one she wanted.
