Every year the shelter staff deals with over 2500 animals. Puppy mill rescue groups and breed rescues tend to have an inherent distrust of human beings. Not only are you helping you and your family you are also helping to save the life of a dog. You may fall in love with a dog at the rescue, but you’ll be doing it a disservice if it won’t be comfortable in your home. So far I have had six adopted dogs: one mongrel, two greyhounds, two West Highland White Terriers, and most recently a Spinone Italiano dog.
